Neither the user’s original IP addresses nor the server IP addresses are recorded when using our service. Additionally, DNS queries are not logged when connected to InterProtection.
DATA WE COLLECT
As a service dedicated to internet privacy and security, safeguarding our users’ privacy is a top priority. We believe in transparency in our operations and consider trust to be a vital part of our relationship with users. Below, we’ve categorized the data we collect to help you understand what information is gathered, how it is collected, and why it is necessary.
ACCOUNT DATA
The date of account registration (e.g., 2018-09-01) is automatically recorded upon creating an account.
The subscription status of a user (e.g., 2018/09/01 - 2018/10/01) is automatically recorded whenever a purchase is made.
Please note that these pieces of information are collected exclusively for user support purposes.
AGGREGATED DATA
Information about the operating system is collected each time a user opens the InterProtection app.
The version of the InterProtection app (e.g., Version 6.1_132_432908b) is recorded when the app is launched.
The daily active user count (e.g., 2018/09/01-19,000,000) is collected when the InterProtection app is launched.
The App Store and Google Play Store provide us with geodemographic information about our users (e.g., US-100,000,000).
Collecting these data points helps us better understand our users and enhances our ability to improve customer satisfaction through product planning.
VPN CONNECTION INFORMATION
Server location details (e.g., US-California Server 1) are automatically captured during the VPN connection.
A timestamp marking the exact moment of connection (e.g., Connected@15:30 2018-05-15) is also automatically recorded.
In instances where a VPN connection is interrupted or fails due to a technical issue, an error report (such as Error_Userdoesnotallowconfiguration) is immediately collected for analysis.
An analytics service provider compiles information on the network type being used (e.g., 4G).
All this data is AUTOMATICALLY AND PERMANENTLY DELETED from our system within 96 hours. The sole purpose of collecting this information is to enhance our VPN services and facilitate effective troubleshooting.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Analytical data, including app crash reports and in-app user engagement metrics, is gathered during the use of InterProtection.
We also collect advertising-related data, such as the iOS ad identifier (IDFA) and the Android master ad identifier.
This data is crucial for evaluating the performance of the InterProtection application, its various features, and for providing essential support to ensure the continued functionality of our free VPN service. It is important to note that this information is not shared with external advertisers.
